Red

The largest UK native species. Famous for their grand antlers and living in large herds.

Roe

The only other native species of deer to the UK. Smaller than red deer and often live in small groups of two or three.

Fallow

Introduced by the Normans, but now normalised into the British countryside. Fallow are known for living in large herds and their iconic spots.

Sika

Introduced from the Far East, they are characterized by their pointed antlers and shorter tails.

Muntjac

The smallest deer species in the UK, native to China and introduced in the early 20th century. A more solitary species.

Chinese Water Deer

Introduced from China, they can be identified by their "tusks" and are found in marshy habitats.

Loins

The premium cut of meat, similar to a beef fillet. Tender and lean.

Joints

Perfect joints for cooking whole. Legs, haunches and shanks.

Diced

Divided into muscle groups and diced into approximate 1 inch squares ready for stewing or frying.

£8 per Kg.

 

Minced

Great value lean minced venison, a healthy alternative to beef mince, perfect for a one pot wonder!
